Fish in Coconut Curry

Fish gravy can be made with coconut milk and it takes the dish to next level. Here we have used a king mackerel fish 

Ingredients:

3 tbsp Coconut oil 

2 cups of thick coconut milk

500 gms of mackerel fish

1 cup of shallots

3-4 dried red chillies

1 tsp mustard seeds

2 green chillies

salt to taste

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tbsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Fish curry masala (optional)

1/2 cup water


 Add mustard seeds, when it starts to sputter add onions, green chillies and red chillies.

Add salt.


Add water and cook tomatoes turn mushy.


Then red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and half a glass of water.


Extract thick coconut milk and keep it ready.


Once the raw smell of red chilli powder is gone, add coconut milk.


Add fish pieces to boiling pot.


Finally add fish curry masala. 


Bring it to boil and Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.



Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
