Fish fry

Fish fry is a recipe that uses minimal oil for shallow frying the marinated fish pieces. The ingredients used are very simple - chilli powder/sambar powder, salt, tamarind paste, curry leaves and turmeric powder.  After marination, let the fish sit for 5-10 minutes and using any cooking oil, shallow fry the fish in a pan.  Ingredients: 1 tbsp red chilli powder 1/4 tsp turmeric powder salt to taste 1 sprig curry leaves 1 tbsp thick tamarind paste 1/4 cup oil for shallow frying 1/2 kg Fish (any fish like king mackerel, silver pompano, How to make fish fry: 1. Grilled Salmon Fish

Atlantic salmon fish is one of those rich foods having omega 3 fatty acids. I often cook fish at home. It's either tilapia or salmon. The traditional way of making fish fry is in the tava using little oil, called shallow fry. My mom makes fish fry that way. I used the same masala for fish marination but instead of shallow fry on a pan, i grilled the fish in conventional oven for about 25 minutes. Usually fish gets cooked faster so we might just need to grill for 10 minutes in case of small pieces. I used the big pieces of salmon as such which required about 25 minutes to get cooked completely.
