It's August month and Ganesh Chaturthi is around the corner. Ganesh Chaturthi marks the start of festival season in India. While we offer innumerous food to Ganesha on that auspicious day, Sundal and sweet modak are the most prominent dishes. Ingredients: 1 cup red rice flour 1 cardamom, powdered a pinch of salt 5 tbsp powdered jaggery 1/2 cup of water 1 tsp oil Steps: 1. In a pan, add the flour and roast it on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes. Transfer it to a plate and let it cool. 2. Take a sauce pan and add half a cup of water, oil, and jaggery. Bring it to boil and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes. Jaggery syrup is ready! 3. Once the flour is cooled down, add salt, grated coconut and cardamom powder to it. Mix it once. Then add the jaggery syrup while it is hot over the flour and mix it with a spatula. 4. Wait for few minutes until the flour jaggery mixture cools enough to knead.
