Moong dhal payasam

Payasam or kheer is a dessert variety and you would simply love this payasam as it involves minimal steps and can be made in say 20 minutes. Do try this recipe at your home and it is a bachelor's recipe as it calls for less number of ingredients and hardly few steps from the start to finish. Paneer Gulab Jamun

It's the festival season here and i have started making gulab jamun a week prior to the festival just because i'm crazy about this particular sweet. I wanted to make it something special out of the ordinary so i went to make paneer gulab jamun. Though there were so many tempting ads going around in the TV for instant gulab jamun mix, i specifically ignored it all! Here it is guys! - tried and tested recipe of paneer gulab jamum. I have used home made paneer - recipe can be found at this link . Pulse the paneer in a mixer jar for 2-3 times and knead it along with milk powder, all purpose flour/wheat flour. I have used wheat flour in today's recipe. The dough is ready and make your favorite shapes for frying in oil. Then soak fried jamun's in warm sugar syrup. Custard Powder Halwa

Halwa - a sweet variety that could be made using flour. fruits like apple, mango, vegetables like ash gourd etc. Here we are going to see an instant halwa recipe using custard powder which requires minimum amount of time as compared to traditional wheat flour halwa. Ingredients: 1 cup custard powder 3.5 cups of sugar 1 tbsp chopped almonds or cashews 1/2 cup ghee 3.5 cups water 1. In a heavy bottomed pan mix custard powder, sugar and water without any lumps. 2. Heat the pan on high flame and keep stirring continuously. 3. Once a glossy consistency is reached, keep the flame to medium and continue to stir. 4. Add few spoons of ghee at constant intervals and stir. 5. Halwa starts to leave the sides of the pan and is almost done. Now add chopped nuts (almonds) and mix well. 6. Paneer Kheer

Paneer/Cottage cheese kheer is a sweet dish made using grated or freshly crumbled paneer slowly cooked in milk and sugar base. Few of the dry fruits like almonds, raisins, pistachios and cashews are finely chopped and added along with few saffron strands. Ingredients: 1/2 cup grated paneer or crumbled if using fresh homemade paneer. 3/4 cup of sugar 1.5 cups of full cream milk or cow's milk 1 tbsp of mixed dry fruits like almonds, cashews, raisins, pistachios Few saffron strands 1/2 tsp cardamom powder How to make Paneer kheer: 1. Boil 1.5 cups of milk in a heavy bottomed pan. I have used cow's milk in today's recipe. 2. Bring it to boil and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. 3. Meanwhile, grate the paneer and keep it aside. I have used freshly homemade paneer. 4. Chop the nuts vertically and keep it ready. 5. Now, add sugar to the simmered milk and stir gently till sugar dissolves.
